Abstract
The present research studies and analyzes the importance of emotional education as a key factor for the development and well-being of university students of the Bilingual Intercultural Education Program of the National University of Education. Enrique Guzman y Valle. To start the investigation, the following general objective was set: To determine the importance of emotional education in the students of the Bilingual Intercultural Education Program of the National Education University. Being qualitative research, we worked with three categories: emotional awareness, emotional regulation and personal autonomy. The research methodology used the qualitative approach. The method used is descriptive, the type of research is basic, the design is grounded theory. The population is bilingual intercultural students and the sample is made up of 18 students and was carried out through a virtual application via Google forms. The technique is the survey and the instrument is the questionnaire. Bilingual intercultural students show shortcomings and lack of awareness to assume what they feel and express their interpersonal relationships, causing difficulty in the academic field.
